I refuse to call it baklava, but it's very similar, with an amazing taste, sweet and low in calories compared to the real thing.
Without further ado, let's get to the preparation:
Ingredients (per serving):
2 rice sheets
5 grams peeled and sliced almonds
10 grams pistachios
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
A pinch of salt
1/2 teaspoon honey
egg
A teaspoon of oil
For the syrup:
Half a tablespoon of honey
A teaspoon of boiling water
A teaspoon of rose water
Half a teaspoon of lemon juice
Preparation method:
Lightly moisten the rice sheets with water (just a second).
Place one on top of the other on a baking sheet lined with baking paper.
Brush the top rice sheet with oil with an egg brush.
Place the mixed nuts, along with the cinnamon, ground pepper, and salt, at the bottom edge of the rice sheets.
Roll and form a snail.
Brush the top with a little egg.
Bake in the oven at 180 degrees for about 10-14 minutes - until the rice sheets become crispy.
After baking, pour the syrup over the sweet pastry.
It is advisable to eat hot!
