Chicken shawarma just like on skewers!
If you want to be complimented at a Shabbat meal or to diversify during the week
This is a recipe you must keep!
So what do you need?
1 kg of chickens - washed and cleaned
3 thick skewers
4 potatoes and 1 sweet potato (you can mix)
2 tablespoons of high-quality olive oil
A tablespoon of coarse salt
Black pepper
2 peeled onions cut in half.
For seasoning:
A tablespoon of turmeric
A spoon for understanding on the fire/for chickens/grilled chicken
A teaspoon of cumin
A teaspoon of paprika
Half a teaspoon of Bharat
A teaspoon of black pepper
A teaspoon of salt
A teaspoon of garlic powder
2 teaspoons Ras El Khanut
-Option: thyme sprigs
Preparation method:
Wash and clean the chickpeas thoroughly.
Peel the potatoes and sweet potatoes and slice them into wedges.
On a tray lined with 2 sheets of baking paper (thank me later), you drizzle 2 tablespoons of olive oil and brush
Add the coarse salt, black pepper and onion.
Add the potato halves and sweet potatoes.
Mix the chicken with the seasoning.
Insert 3 skewers into 3 halves of potatoes/sweet potatoes.
And on them the chicks are skewered.
- I previously cut 1/4 of the skewer so that it would fit in the oven on the middle shelf.
- Bake at 190 degrees for 40 minutes.
